ANCA – Association of News & Current Affairs proudly announces the prestigious appointment of Prof. Syed Ahsanul Alam Parvez, a distinguished geo-political economist and Senior Professor at the University of Chittagong, as its Chief Advisor. ANCA is an independent and distinct organization comprising news producers from both electronic and print media. Its core mission is to conduct awareness programs aimed at educating underprivileged citizens about various societal harms, including drug abuse, human trafficking, food adulteration, exploitation of children for begging, and coerced prostitution among naive and vulnerable women.
ANCA is committed to countering these social issues by increasing awareness and has embarked on organizing national and international roundtables, as well as virtual webinars, to further this cause. Additionally, ANCA supports academically gifted students from underprivileged backgrounds by offering educational assistance and recognizes students who achieve excellence in their studies with awards and certificates.
A discussion session organized by ANCA was held on Thursday at a hotel in Dhaka, attended by producers and journalists from various electronic media outlets across the country. The event, conducted by Rafiqul Islam Rolly, Planning Editor of Asian TV, featured discussions on ANCA’s upcoming activities and plans. During this event, the appointment of Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam Parvez, Chairman of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and an esteemed economist, as the Chief Advisor of the organization was officially announced. ANCA also aims to accelerate the government’s efforts towards building a ‘Smart Bangladesh’, furthering its commitment to societal betterment.
